Dream job: Get Yours TODAY!

Titus 2:11-14

English Standard Version (ESV)

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13  waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14  who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

I Think it's safe to say that david Crowder band song(or cover of the song) [How he loves] can go down in history as the top recipient of the 'the greatest song ever written in history, dude i'm not even kidding that song is so great' Award. The message is a simple yet powerful expression of Love.

'He is jealous for me, his loves like a hurricane i am a tree bending beneath the winds and waves of his mercy."
That is some crazy amazing imagery don't you think? God's love is so powerful it's always unbearable. Who Doesn't want to be loved like that? The song goes on to say:

"all of a sudden, i am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory"
ok, that's even MORE crazy amazing, not only is God's love for us so strong that we can't help but be moved by it. it is literally a shield from affliction.(that's not to say bad stuff won't happen but when you are safe in the arms of god, it just affects you different. trust me you gotta experience it to believe it). God really loves us, and  it's very sad when we INTENTIONALLY do things that hurt him. The idea of loving a god who loves us with so much passion and vigor is nice, but lets be honest... we don't love him like we should if at all.

Titus Tells us that Through his grace, God has given us FULL TRAINING to live right and to patiently wait for Jesus' return. It's like the perfect job, Greatest reward ever, Full training offered, all me have to do is show up and take the position. The only condition is this must be our only job. Is that not the sweetest deal ever? God's legit.ness supersedes all other. He looks our for us like no other.

Let's not be foolish and not show up to work, or break the ONLY condition that separates us from life and death. Be smart. Trust your creator

Hell: you don't wanna go.

1 Timothy 2:3-4
This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

So, one day i was scrolling through tumblr when i came across this Magnificent quote:
The question is not "Why would a loving God send anyone to hell?" The question is "Why would anyone choose hell over a loving God?"
This Quote is so biblically sound, i feel like it should be everyone's defense for the "god is a egotistical tyrant" argument.(kidding but not kidding).Timothy tells us that god desires EVERYONE to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth. Paul tells the thessalonians That God Hell was never intended for us, we weren't created to experience Gods wrath. God loves us, he enjoys spoiling us. He desires to give us the world. (he actually already did, we just gave it back....oop)

So, let's make this very simple. If you feel/hear anything other than ; 'God is a God of love who wants the absolute best for you, which includes but is not limited to salvation', it's a lie.

Easypeasy!

What should i title this?

Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Yesterday Britt Nicole released a new album titled Gold. Guys, her title track, Gold, was designed By god for me to listen to this morning. promise, divine timing like a mug:) It's the perfect song to start your day. It's fun, it's encouraging, it's absolutely magnificent. You are worth more than Gold. The bible tells us that you are his workmanship created for good works which god prepared BEFORE hand. You are NOT an accident, the world would NOT better off without you. You were specifically designed by the HANDS of god to do great things and then dwell with him in his joy for all of eternity.

We are practically super heros, intentionally created by god, ONLY for good! Which means we should act as such. Treating out bodies like the temple that they are. Loving ourselves like the heirs to the kingdom that we are. Treating others they way god has treated us. Simple walking in the freedom that is already ours.

"Hold your head up high, it's your time to shine. from the inside out it shows. You're worth more than gold"

Have Fun! Be fab! Lived saved!

Truth is...

1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
English Standard Version (ESV)
9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10  who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him.

Understand this, No matter where You are in life:
  • You will never be able to please everybody.
  • Someone will Always be disappointed in you.
  • Someone will ALWAYS be proud of you.
  • There will be good days.
  •  There will be bad days.
  • You will always come up short when you compare yourself to others.
  • you will always excel when you compare yourself to others.
  • Nothing will ever be... 'Perfect'.

The Good thing is We know for certain that God has our back. He is the ONLY constant in our world of ups and downs. Ya see, Hell was Never intended for us, Constant pain and darkness is NOT the reality we were created to live in. God's Purposes for us are good and pure. However, Sin causes bumps in that rd. So God Gave his son Jesus to handle that situation, and because of that we can now LIVE in the reality He created us to live in. A Life of Freedom and Joy despite the ups and downs. All we have to do is Stay faithful to him who redeemed us:)

Be encouraged! It Get's Better!

The Jatt Bromace.

James 1:12
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

My favorite verse at the moment is Matthew 6:33. It says: "seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and all his righteousness  and all these things will be ADDED to you". What i love so much about this verse is no matter what version of the bible i read it in the Word [Added] is constant, never changed. I think God is really trying to tell us something.

God's Desires for us are quite simple once we let go of our own way.
It's like this: Focus on Your Gratitude.["God how can i live for you?"] everyday. Just focus on your gratitude, and everything else you could possibly ever need will just be mixed in. It's simply a result of "seeking god first". The good thing about it is if nothing ever works out and were are constantly struggling it wouldn't matter because we are focused on God. So it's basically a win-win! if Through God we focus on god,(hahaha. see how that works out.) standing strong against the devils Tactics to distract us James Tells us that a crown of life will be waiting for us.

If you take time to put your life in perspective, line it up with promises of god, your eyes will be opened to what is really important:)

Be encouraged! He'll be back soon!
until then
Have FUN! Be FAB! LIVE SAVED!

Those Christian B**ch's...

Ephesians 6:10-11
[The Whole Armor of God] A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.

A couple of weeks ago ABC released a new show called GCB based on the book Good Christian B*tches By Kim Gatlin. The show is basically about a reformed High school mean girl and her children returning home, prodigal style, to the high class, church centered city of dallas after her cheating, embezzling husband dies in a tragic accident. I love the show because it's like a "it's funny because it's true" type of humor. These high Class women are basically making up their own rules, using the bible, that fits their own selfishness.

Every week i watch the show and it gets me thinking, not only about my own personal life and the things that i have said and done that is identical to the characters, but it makes me think about the state of the church. The body of Christ as a whole has eased up on Sound Biblical Truth and is falling victim to the devil's propaganda.

For example, In the first episode Kristen Chenoweth's Character said something like: "omg! is that a sin? i'm not sure, i'll google it" this tickled me because i am guilty of just googling something to find a verse instead of spending prayerful time in my word discerning Gods truths. I'm not saying that Google is bad but that's not what the christian walk is about. We are not meant to walk on egg shells of right and wrong. The Christian walk is one of freedom and gratitude. Am i making sense? You see the problem there?

The bible says if we are strong IN the lord putting on the whole armor of God we will be able to stand firm against the strategies of the devil. We won't displease God by making up our own rules using his words. We can't live our life however we choose to live it and still proclaim the name of Jesus. No matter how innocent our intentions may be the ONLY way to please God is to allow christ to live In and through us.

Simon's Son Society Says...

Jeremiah 17:7-8

“But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.
For some odd reason, we blame "the media" for just about everything we think is wrong with society today. While most of our accusations are properly placed, What i don't understand is Why we continue to support it knowing Good and well what it does to us and what it stands for. I mean, News Flash people, We don't HAVE to watch t.v. We don't HAVE to listen to certain music. We don't HAVE to go to the movies. we don't HAVE to support what degrades and belittles us. Yet we do. Why is that? Maybe we feel like there is nothing else out there? Could it be that we are scared to let go of what is comfortable?

I don't know your reasoning for continuing to fuel "the media", but, I mean it's quite simple logic: Stay in the psychological rat race that is "the media" Or release your inhibitions dive feet fist and trust god, putting all your hope & focus & confidence in him. Sell out. Jeremiah 17 proves that the latter is a better deal.

Im a hazard to myself.

1 Peter 2:2-3
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

i kind of feel like a lot of people* struggle with recovery/freedom because somehow we get a notion in our head that once we have escaped from the darkness we were once held captive by, we will never see darkness again. It's really unfortunate that people* feel that way because that is simply not true.

I like to think dark days after redemption and freedom should be accepted as our frequent spiritual check up. We can't really know how far we come if we don't ever look back. Dark days Expose the true condition of our hearts, it exposes our motives and if we so choose, allows us to submit our will to god all over again, just like when we first tasted freedom. Walking in freedom tends to boosts people's* Heads and they forget certain things like what God has done for them, and the importance in trusting him.

All im saying is this: Bad days come and bad days go. Christ's love is forever.
Learn The lessons in the dark so that you may shine bright in the light.
He Loves us, he just wants us ready when he comes.

Christianity: The least popular fandom.

Fandoms are basically religions. Same general concept. right? i was under the delusional  impression that the fandoms leader was simply someone you admired, NOT idolized. [Im not gonna lie to ya'll, i claim my set- Lovatics all day baby!] I thought that it was simply a homage to like minded people who enjoyed the same TALENTS that you do, but it's basically misdirected christianity. You don't have to DO anything of substance to gain a fandom. Just be "famous" and people will follow you like a blind mouse. While i can understand a like and admiration for certain people, what i do NOT understand is the die hard dedication for someone who not only has done NOTHING for you, but more than likely doesn't know you exist. What is ever more baffling is, the same people who dedicate their energies to be apart of these fandoms do not see the value in their relationship with christ. i mean, you do the same thing as an actual believer would, only your loyalty and love is for a complete stranger, not only do you get nothing out of a fandom, you are breaking the heart of the one who gave all for you and knows you better than you know yourself. If we were to direct All the energy we put into these fandom into christ we would cash in a jackpot that would blow past our mortal comprehension. make sense?

The bible tells us in Galatians5:

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23  gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Oh sweet freedom. Dedicating your life to god will automatically produce inside of you everything you need to lead a happy, successful, fulfilled life:)
Do the right thing;)

Ryen.

P.s.: i am not bashing "fandoms"... i know that some of these people have opened the doors for a lot of good, i know some do a lot of good. however, god is greater.

Dreams are real...

"Dreams Won't Work unless you do"

A Common phrase used to motivate people to be the best they can be, But sometimes that just isn't the case. Obviously you cannot have a dream to be a writer if you keep all your ideas in your head. You cannot wish a dream of being a singer into existence if no one knows you can sing but your shower head. Sometimes you have to get your hands dirty and dive in feet first. However, as believers, Most times all we do in pursuance of our dreams is wait on God.

Most of my life I didn't have a specific idea of what i wanted to be, i just knew that i would have the resources and opportunities to live debt free, help my family, sponsor children, and travel the world. I knew i wanted to write and speak.
I've known for some time what i wanted to do, but even today i am not sure how to get it done. I spend time either going crazy because i can't conceive a winning idea or frustrated because the only answer i get from god is to wait. It's not a case of Working, it's a case of patiently waiting.

I know i am not the only human being in existence to ever experience this.
Sometimes our dreams will not come into fruition until we let go of mantra's such as "Dreams won't work unless you do". Am i making sense? This is not a lesson in being lazy or passive. It's a lesson in trusting god and letting him work through you EVERY SINGLE step of the way.

The bible tells us this in 2cor3.4-5:
4 We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. 5 It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.

As long as you follow in the steps ordained for your life you won't have to worry about How or when your dreams will come true. God's Got it all in control, just rely on his power not your own. Every step is important, don't skip.
It is all done THROUGH him, FOR HIM!
Be encouraged. He's Got your back.

Reality Check... Hold the gratuity.

I don't really have favorite songs, Like i have Favorite Lines from songs... does that make sense? is that weird? am i alone one this? *looks around* i think so. it's just how i roll. My favorite line from Trip Lee's Song[The invasion(hero)] Ft. Jai is: "The root of every need is separation from creator"... That single solitary line shuts down any dispute you have against god. I mean, that single solitary line ENCOMPASSES everything WE as humans stand for and everything that god stands for. That line alone simplifies... LIFE in general.

There is not much more i can say, The root of EVERY need, literally every need, is simply separation from your creator... The message version of the bible puts it this way(1john2.16)
Practically everything that goes on in the world—wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important—has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him.

This Simple Truth Transcends  beyond believers and non believers. It's Not a message only for those who believe. It is Good news for all! No Need for a lot of words. Take This at face value and walk in freedom:)

Be encouraged guys. God is Too legit to quit. *insert MC HAMMER dance*
He's got your back. Go to him. He's waiting, i promise:)

Read this, or don't.... whatever.

ok, so yea. just.... read it.

i have had my own car since i graduated high school, i have had a job since my junior year in high school. I have always been the go to girl when some needed money or a ride. from '06-'10 i took very good care of myself and EVERYONE around me. money at my finger tips a car that would take me [almost] anywhere... no attachments of any kind. i was young and FREE.[or so i thought]. after a series of events that were quite unfortunate, here it is 2011 and all of that was taken away.[i went against my better judgment and agreed to go to school] no job. no car. no money. and seemingly no friends. i often wondered when people would start taking care of me like i did everyone else.  I wasn't such a generous person because i wanted something in return, But when you hear "you get what you give" all your life you start to wonder...

FF to this past weekend[i met JIMMY NEEDHAM AND TRiP LEE! BOOM GOTCHA! HATERS BACK OFF!] i was talking to a friend of mine(which was not jimmy or trip, but they are my friends.), and we were talking about going out to eat and i was like 'girl you KNOW i'm broke', and she was all like "thats not what i asked, you've taken care of me now i'm returning the favor"...
With those words i began to look at my life over the past year at how much i was experiencing the fruits of my labor. Everyone was taking care of me. it feels so weird, and wrong. i often feel ashamed and burdened because i am not used to being 'in need'. But like natalie Grant says "there is no such thing as perfect people, there is no such thing as a perfect life"...

I spend so much time under this self imposed pressure to be perfect when God is saying "Thats not possible babygirl. Just be the best you through me you can be".

God created this system of fellowship so that everyone will experience the joys of giving AND receiving.
Don't Be proud! We are all in this together:)

Cliche post about boys. *shrugs*

So, there's this guy.

this is my "why am i telling this embarrassing story" face.
no matter what i did he just wasn't interested. we were friends once upon a time. however through a series of unfortunate events (basically i lied about being a virgin(i am), then sleeping with him(i didn't)) that friendship quickly died. i know i know, your thinking isn't that stuff GUYS lie about? that was stupid. i don't know what i was thinking ya'll. I just wanted him to like me. However lying about ANYTHING IS NOT THE WAY TO DO THAT. always be honest with yourself and others.
We,to this day, remain cordial but our friendship will never be the same again.
------
What does this embarrassing revelation have to do with anything ?

DUN DUN DUN!!!! Stay tuned after this commercial break:)
Deuteronomy 7:9
Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.

As young women of the 21st century(this is the 21st century isn't it?) Relationships are one of the most important things we use to define us. if we aren't in one or never have been in one we often wonder: "whats wrong with me?". Your mind and prayers are filled with questions: "why haven't i had my first kiss?" "everyone has a boy friend, why don't i?" "everyone is getting married, what about me?" "when is it my turn?" "will i ever find love?" "the bible says man is not meant to be alone, what gives?" "he that finds a wife finds a good thing? am i not a good thing?"
All the while God is like "why am i not enough?"

When God isn't enough you may, like me, do crazy things as mentioned in the story above. When God is not enough you will ALWAYS be waiting and never be satisfied. When God isn't enough you are doing yourself a GREAT disservice.

We like to think that someday our price will come,we just have to wait.(darn you disney). Here's something we don't often think/talk about. Our Prince has ALREADY come. The prince of Peace whose love is sufficient throughout all of time and space. Our prince is here lavishing love on us. There is no point in 'waiting' because all the love we will ever need is already ours.

So, take a lesson from me. Make God enough. Bask in his love FIRST, and allow all other things be added unto you. Through God, you already have all the love you will ever need anyway:)

Lies the bible tells.

I've had the same prayer request since i was about... 15. It wasn't so urgent then, but when i Graduated H.S. at the age of 17 the prayer became more urgent, more persistent. Here i sit at the age of 21 with the same desire. Still Waiting on the manifestation of said request. No, it has nothing to do with getting a man.

Often times people say to me, and am sure have said to you: "You have not because you ask not" in reference to this prayer request. in my head i am always thinking: "i DO ask, how much more should i ask, i am practically begging!".

I Never seemed to understand why God would even Put that in the bible knowing full well that i spend ALL my time ASKING, yet never receiving. What in the world do i gotta do in order to get what my heart desires. Well, the answer is to delight in the lord. Not Keep asking.

The verse referenced is James 4:3.
The entire chapter is basically a "god's not pleased with your foolery" type of deal. The surrounding verses are simply saying: You fight with each other because of your passions and the things you want. you have not because you ask not. you ask not because you know god isn't gonna cosign on your foolery.

See the distinction?

Next time someone says this phrase to you, and you have already asked(and you know your not asking for foolery or fleshly things). Simply say a prayer thanking jesus for hearing you.

Sometimes you just have to wait. nothing more, nothing less.

Does life REALLY come with a manual?

my Favorite thing about the bible is it's redundancy. It's a big book of tedium.
Seriously, I can read any given verse at take 10 different messages from it, or i can take 10 different verses and get any given message from it. See what i mean?

So, Fact is the bible can't really contradict itself because it says the same thing.

I used to didn't think like that though. i used to read the bible as life a manual.
i would read it for a lesson in specifics. i would read it so i can know exactly what i should do to get the results i desire.

That caused ambiguity and frustration and yes contradiction. You wanna know why?

Because the bible isn't a life coach manuel. The bible is simply a story, of what God is all about, and what he's trying to do.

It took me 21 years to get it  through my thick skull, and it still hasn't completely sunk in....

God's whole purpose for doing anything he does is to restore us back to our original state of living. We are Still God's most prized creation. He want to dwell with us as we once were.

But you know you, just like i know me. simply telling me/us that won't do.
thus the bible was written, inspired by god so that we may get a glimpse of comprehension into god supreme purposes.

This world is NOT our home....yet. Sol, et's keep our eyes on the prize.

I didn't ask to be born...

I am officially one of those bloggers who have started their posts with a definition. I have stooped low guys, i have no more catchy creativity tactics to draw you in. C'est la vie i suppose;)
free willnounthe power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate; theability to act one's own discretion.

As an avid Over thinker i often, like ALWAYS struggled with this concept of Free will, freedom of choice. Like, I didn't ask to be born so HOW in BLU BLAZIN should i be grateful and all indebted and not feel worthy of salvation. There are a lot of general consensus type of feelings that the majority of Christians portray that i simply don't understand. Free will was something i just could nor Would i accept. I didn't ask for this life so the very LEAST god could have done was save me, and use me for his glory. He did and is.

See that problem with this free will concept is  it's not really a biblical concept. It kind of is implied, but not necessarily taught. make sense? we take it too far. God is Soverign. We tend to forget that. We use free will as a shadow over god's sovereignty and get caught in webs of deceit based on Truth and feel good traditions. it's always a mixture of both, but even a half truth is a lie.

We say God gives us freedom of will/choice yet we didn't ask to be born. We say To pray for what we need yet god's will is supreme. We say God give's us free will/freedom of choice ye if we don't choose him we die.

See the confusion?

Everything was designed by a sovereign God for his higher purposes. Our "Free will" is limited to Life and death. We choose life or we choose death. Simple, we have no more power outside of that. Everything else comes from God or satan. We may not ever Fully understand Gods ways. That's where faith comes in. This life is Bigger than us, God's Got a lot on his plate, but don't ever think for once he can't handle it. He Is working Everything out for his supreme purposes.

Love.

I hope this was clear. i hope this message broke a stronghold like it did for me.

<3 ∞,

Ryen Lynette:)

You can't ACTUALLY count on god, Can you?

You ever feel like something is missing? Like no matter what you do something is still missing? Do you ever have more questions than answers about practically everything Supernatural? Do you Ever wonder Why everything is so dang complicated?

Have no fear. You are not alone. I read in a book about a month ago: (i'm am really sorry i don't know the author, i'm not taking credit for this brilliant concept i just don't know who you are:-/) that made a point that will stick with me forever:

"it is important that we assign the right attributes of god in our faith so that we learn to understand his ways"

i have always like this quote because it spoke Volume to my christian walk. Most of my life my struggles came from simply not know who god is, even today the things i wrestle with are traditions and feel good philosophy and doctrine and NOT biblical Facts. Often times i get frustrated with writing this blog because i feel like the bible should give me more writing material, because in general, it all says the same thing. It's like a circle everything is tied to everything. No loose ends. no ambiguity.

So i challenge everyone who reads this to break down WHAT you Believe && WHY you Believe it: For you may be holding on to tradition and not biblical Truths.

The truth will REALLY set you free:)

OMG! WHAT IS MY PURPOSE?

I learned something today, something Quite amazing!
it's kind of like i knew it all along, but experiencing it is just.... wonderful.
I think i may have already talked about it as well, but to experience it is just...*sigh*.
See, i can't even form a sentence, the glorious spring time atposphere has turned my brain to mush;)

ok, here is the point.

Dear reader, if you are struggling with your purpose and pursuing your dreams and things of that nature i have one message fore you:

Bloom where you are planted. Be faithful in your current position. Share the goodness of God to whoever asks/whoever is willing to listen(obviously no one wants to be force fed jesus). TELL YOUR STORY NOW! Everyone has a story.

The bible says is 1 peter 5:6.

6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Don't try to bloom where you aren't planted. Do you where you are. simple. That is your purpose. To tell of God's Love/goodness. right here. right now. pursue nothing but god's love.

Luke 16:10
King James Version (KJV)
10He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Ain't nothing to it but to do it girlie pops.(&& you too guy pops..erm?)
